STEM program planned at Hopkins Middle School March 7

An engineering and design STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) program is planned for 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 7 at Hopkins Middle School.

This is a free program for middle school students sixth through eighth grades) and will give participants a chance to:

  • Design, build and investigate STEM concepts through engineering and design project.
  • Hang out with friends and classmates, eat free snacks and have fun.
  • Challenge friends in a friendly competition.

Participants are permitted to take their projects home.

STEM is for both boys and girls and parents are welcome to attend. There will be give-aways! Partipation is limited to a maximum of 30 students, who will have the opportunity to sign up during their lunch time.

There will be 10 from each grade level. Brochures with permission slips will be handed out during lunch for students who are interested. Signed permission slips will need to be filled out in order for students to sign up.
