Subway restaurant opening at Bradley exit on U.S.-131

Tammy Miller Thomas of Moline took this photo at the Bradley exit (No. 61) of U.S.-131 to show a new Subway restaurant going up across the street from the Gun lake Casino. Subway has not been available in Wayland for more than a couple of years after the Speedway gas station was razed and when it was rebuilt, the gas retailer chose to offer customers its own brand of convenience foods instead. So Subway lovers have had to travel to Dorr on 142nd Avenue at the Exxon-Mobil station or at the J & H Maraton station at the Martin exit. This one promises to be the closest one to Wayland.
