Allegan County Sheriff’s authorities say they believe speed was a factor in a fatal traffic crash Monday night in Leighton Township.
Deputies said a serious crash was called in at about 7:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of 7th Street not far from Stoney Ridge Court. They reported an SUV was heading south when the motorist left the road and crash into a tree. The motorist was found dead on the scene.
There was no further information about the incident.
