Wayland High School graduate Quentin Sweeney led Kalamazoo College in tackles and had a sack Saturday in the team’s MIAA season opener. Unfortunately, the Hornets lost 56-26 to Alma and saw their overall record slip to 2-2. Sweeney was a decorated linebacker and running back for the Wildcats’ 2012 football team that qualified for the post-season playoffs. He is a junior at Kalamazoo. (Photo supplied)
