Sweet Grass Moon Pow Wow is July 14-15 at Jijak

Gun Lake Tribe of Pottawatomi Indians will have Sweet Grass Moon Pow Wow from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 14, and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15 at the Jijak Camp, 2044 126th Ave. Hopkins.

The Sweet Grass Moon Pow Wow is a celebration of Pottawatomi culture, dance and songs. The Jijak Camp, a sprawling cultural center that features a pow wow arena, cabins, lakes, a community center, and more.

Native American vendors from across the Great Lakes region will offer native foods, arts and jewelry.

Instead of an admission fee, attendees are asked to bring one canned good or dried food item. All donations will go to the Annetta Jensen Food Pantry in Dorr.

Pictures and video may be taken during the event unless otherwise announced by the emcee.
