The Hopkins girls’ varsity bowling team did not make the final round of the Division 3 state tournament Friday and Wayland’s Sydney Urben and Hopkins’ Terry Thomas both were eliminated Saturday before the championship round of the individual competition.

The Lady Vikings qualified Feb. 25 in the regionals by taking one of the top three spots.

Thomas, a senior, was third in the regionals and was 54th among the 60 state qualifiers. He rolled games of 139, 169, 191, 137, 155 and 169 for a total of 960 pins for his six games.
