Terri Wisser has decided to retire as Hopkins High School varsity volleyball coach, a position she has held since 1990.

The Hopkins High School athletic web site today announced the head volleyball position is vacant and applicants for her successor are being sought. Several efforts to reach Wisser for comments and explanations were not successful.

Wisser has guided the Lady Vikings to a number of O-K Silver Conference championships, the most recent one this past fall. Her teams, even when they didn’t take the league crown, often finished second.

One highlight of her last season was that her daughter, Corrie, was co-captain as a setter and has been recruited to play next year at Ferris State University.
