The next local folk gathering will feature “Terry Lee and the Cat Skinners” playing in the tradition of 3 Chords and the Truth, bringing traditional country, bluegrass and Americana; songs that tell a story of the rural American.
As always the music starts at 6 p.m. at the Vibrant Grains Restaurant, 142 S. Main St. After the special mini-concert from 6 to 6:45, there will be open mic for all those wanting to share music on stage until 8 p.m. This will be followed by an hour-long jam session until 9 p.m.
Terry Lee and the Cat Skinners works to keep alive the best of songs that tell a story about life, love, heartbreak and triumph, as best told by Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, John Prine, Billy Joe Shaver, David Allen Coe…
“If you want to get that old honky-tonk feel, come out and give us a listen,” said event organizer J.D. Gonzales.
