Tess Tobolic’s dinosaur entry wins top prize at Art Hop competition

Tess Tobolic, a 2008 graduate of Wayland High School and a chalk artist, was the grand prize winner in the Wayland Art Hop art competition Friday evening with this formidable design of a dinosaur. Tobolic graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design and MSU of GR with a degree in medical illustration. She got into chalk art a couple years ago and loved it so much that she does it in addition to medical illustrations. “It was self-taught, although I learned the artistic skills needed from my program at Kendall. I travel around Michigan doing chalk art for companies, festivals, etc that hire me,” she said.
