The third annual Wayland Balloonfest was blessed with terrific weather, good crowds of people, local musical talent, an authentic old-time baseball game, and, of course, plenty of balloons. The festivities took place at Calkins Field, also known as Wayland Airport just north of the city limits on Division Avenue in Leighton Township. Some of the balloons could easily be seen by residents in the city and township as they flew overhead.
