John T. Sloan, age 56 of Grand Rapids, died Sunday, May 3.
John, a graduate of Caledonia High School, was owner and operator of Consumer Spa and Pool. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed time in the sunshine. He loved time spent with his family and friends and was often the one to plan the gatherings. John was a gentle and generous man to his circle of family and friends.
John is survived by his brothers and sisters: Todd (Judy) Sloan, Don Sloan, Sunny Strouse, Linda Niezurawski, Robert D. Sloan, Steven Sloan and Richard Sloan; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may gather with his family from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, where a time of sharing will be held at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to the American Cancer Society.
