Town & Country to replace Weick’s Foodtown, Gun Lake

The ownership of Weick’s Foodtown at Gun Lake is changing hands this week.

The grocery store will be closed Tuesday to complete inventory and change of signs, then reopen for business Wednesday. The store’s name will be changed to Gun Lake Town & Country.

John Weick, third generation of the family-owned food store, plans to retire.

Town & Country is a Spartan chain carrying Our Family products, also has stores in Kalamazoo, Bellevue and Pinconning. The owner is Mike Rupp.

Most of the current employees will stay on at the store.
