A crash on southbound US-131 near Dorr shut down traffic after a crash Wednesday night that killed one person.

A male driver near the Wayland exit was spotted driving erratically and officers tried to pull the vehicle over before he led police on a chase on northbound US-131. The suspect driver smashed through the cable barriers and moved into the southbound lanes and the truck rolled over. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and killed.

Authorities indicated the driver had a history of driving offenses and they suspect he was intoxicated.

A piece of guard rail broke off and hit a semi’s windshield during the incident.

The identity of the deceased was not disclosed as yet.
