The fourth annual Turkey Trot Hand 2 Hand fund-raiser was a huge success this year, according to organizers.

There were nearly 100 individuals who participated by either walking or running the 5k course Thanksgiving morning. Two of the food collection trailers were nearly full of food donations and they raised $2,382.50 in monetary donations. This year’s event took in twice as much food as last year and raised over $500 more when compared to last year.

Aneke Van Baal coordinated organization of this event, which included many who donated and volunteered!

“The partnership with Hand 2 Hand and donations will make a difference to students in our district!” a spokesperson said.
