Former Wayland High School stand
outs Molly Lameyer and Krissy Dill will be two key returning players for the Davenport University volleyball team this fall.
The Panthers last year took their first Wolverine Hoosier Conference regular season championship and they won the NAIA regionals. Unfortunately, they graduated two of their top players, Hannah Stone and record-breaking setter Amber Getty, also a WHS graduate.
Lameyer, a senior, is perhaps one of the most experienced returnees. An NAIA Academic All-American, she was standout as well for the Wildcat volleyball and basketball teams.
Dill, a senior, was a member of the Wayland volleyball team that went all the way to the state Class B semifinals in 2013 before losing to eventual champion Pontiac Notre Dame.
