A traffic crash at the intersection of 22nd Street and 130th Avenue in Hopkins township involved a school bus and a dump truck. The dump truck passenger had to be extricated from the windshield of the vehicle by first responders. Though there have been fatal accidents at the corner in the past, this time those involved suffered only injuries. Some observers have said the intersection needs to be made into a four-way stop. The two people in the truck were taken by ambulance, but the school bus driver was fine. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department and Gun Lake Tribal Police assisted the Hopkins Area Fire Department personnel at the scene.

Who ever wrote this story has it completely wrong!!! The person extricated was driving a “pickup truck”!! He was not a passenger in the dump truck. The dump truck was NOT involved at all. He stopped to assist. People need to get there facts right before the write a story.
