Two killed in crash with semi-truck hauling milk

Two people were killed Tuesday evening when their car was struck by a semi-truck near on 134th Avenue in Monterey Township 

Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies said the car was traveling west on 134th Avenue when it failed to stop for a stop sign at 30th Street and was struck by a semi-truck headed north on 30th Street.

Both the driver and passenger in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. They were not named by the sheriff’s office.

The driver of the semi-truck, which was carrying milk, overturned, causing a large spill. The intersection was closed for investigation and cleanup.
