As the season of autumn takes control, two astute and capable amateur photographers have snapped pictures of our surroundings. Terri Haan Capenter (cover photo) captured the majestic sunset of last evening in a study of contrasts and former Hopkins Elementary Principal Mary Howard, (photo at left) who these days serves as village president, captured a moment in time showing the beauty of the season, seeming to embrace rather than dread the approaching inevitable weather. Ms. Carpenter commented, “I love how one lower cloud ⛅️ catches the glow among so much darkness… no matter the weather, I enjoy each day as it comes to me.”
