Two victims in the series of fatal crashes Thursday on U.S.-131 have been identified. It was reported erroneously earlier that three had died.

Capt. Scott Matice of the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department today reported Robert Edward-Lee Crim, 43, of Otsego, was the man who was repairing a disable vehicle on the expressway when he stepped in front of a semi-truck just north of the Shelbyville (No. 59) exit.

Sharon Renee McSawby, 55, of Battle Creek, was the woman who was killed later that day in a second crash involving vehicles backed up as a result of the first incident.
