Two Wayland Middle School students have made it into the Michigan Schools Vocal Music Association State Honors Choir. Eighth-grader Ariel White (left) and sixth-grader Elaina Thomas memorized an audition piece before being selected for this honor. The two accompanied by choir director Kristi Oostdyk, went to Birch Run High School Saturday, Nov. 4, to begin rehearsals, which are held around the State of Michigan on Saturdays. They will perform at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
