Two WHS students qualify for national business competition

Two Wayland High School stude2016 Winnersnts have qualified for the national Business and Professionals of America competition in May in Boston.Both Hailey Carpenter and Bri Cronk have advanced to the national level of the BPA contest.

The two and four other members of the Wayland High School BPA qualified for the state competition of the Business and Professionals of America regional contest earlier this month at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids. They had placed high enough among 400 contestants in the regionals at Lake Michigan College in January.

The students demonstrate business management, marketing, and technology skills, network with others, and are honored for their hard work.
Business Professionals of America is a national career/technical student organization for business students on the high school and college levels with over 54,000 members across the country. The organization strives to prepare a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.
