The new used car dealership that reopened a couple of months ago in downtown Wayland suddenly had no vehicles for sale this morning. There also were reports a surveying crew was at the site this afternoon. After Woody Woodcox bought the former Wayland Motor Sales used car business from Nick Oetman, the dealership was re-named “Recar Nation.” The firm managing the local business, located at 159 N. Main St., at the corner of Maple Street, also ran a used car dealership in Martin. There have been reports that a a firm from Plainwell has bought out the business. Wayland Motor Sales was shuttered by the Michigan Secretary of State’s office earlier this summer because of irregularities in registrations for cars sold. (Photo supplied)
