West Superior Street at its intersection with Clark Street was closed for a spell Saturday morning as Consumers Energy workers were at the scene to secure the power pole until another Consumers crew arrived. There were temporary road closures near the intersection as the power pole was changed out. Yankee Springs and Wayland fire departments used the Burger King parking lot to move traffic. Crews had to work in some awful rainy and windy weather conditions that shut down a lot of activities over the weekend, including all interscholastic athletic activities.
