Vicki Lynn Avery of Dorr died Tuesday, Feb. 15. She was 60 years old.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1960, in Greenville to William and Nancy (Ohler) Lynema. She graduated from Wayland High School, while working her first job at Enza’s Pizza. She had a long and diverse working career, with her longest and most beloved job as a tax preparer for H&R Block. She loved getting to see her “people” from year to year.

In the offseason from taxes, she enjoyed working in various roles at Sandy Pines. In her free time she loved growing flowers and feeding her birds – especially hummingbirds.

Her home life began when she met and married Tim. Together they have four children and 13 grandchildren. Vicki was an enthusiastic attendee of Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, where she forged deep and meaningful relationships that supported and strengthened her throughout her life and her illness.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tim; her parents William and Nancy; brothers Scott (Elizabeth) and Rusty; children Nick (Amanda), Eric (Hannah), Jessica, and Ashley; nieces, nephews; and 13 grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to Vicki’s funeral fund, you can do so via a gofundme at https://gofund.me/6083605e.
