Vietnam veteran Bob Wyle of Shelbyville dies at 72

Robert “Bob” W. Wyle, Sr., aged 72, of Shelbyville, died Friday, May 28.

He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972 during the Vietnam War.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, his Corvettes and riding his motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Renee; son, Robert W. Wyle, Jr.; grandchildren, Shane, Alexiah, Colton, Nevaeh, Gabriella Wyle; stepchildren, Jamie (Jamie Hanshaw) Norman, Angela Norman, Anthony Norman; brother, William Wyle; half-sister, Lori Peters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Jill) Pasky, Mike (Kathy) Pasky, Toni Legner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burrell Wyle; mother, Eleanore Rossi; brother, Jack Wyle; stepfathers, John Peters, John Rossi; stepmother, Mary Wyle; brothers-in-law, Jim Pasky and David Legner.

The family will greet visitors Monday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, where a memorial service for Robert will begin at noon.
