A vigil was held Thursday evening for the Comstock Park motorist who was shot and killed June 16 by an Allegan County Sheriff’s officer after a traffic stop in Monterey Township.
Several dozen people attended the vigil at. the site where where Joseph Nagle, 22, was killed.
Troopers with the Wayland post of the Michigan State Police reported a deputy pulled Nagle over under suspicion of drunk driving. They said a fight broke out between Nagle and the deputy when he was told he was under arrest. During the ensuing altercation, the deputy shot him once in the chest.
Investigators indicated there is no body camera or dashcam video of the incident, which remains under investigation.
Was the Deputy a victim too? More, much more to this story. Let us pray the light of truth shall prevail.
Shame, shame on you David, once again I must have missed your prayers for the deceased and the lost of a loved one.
No shame, just looking for the light of truth. I was raised knowing there are or will be consequences for ones actions. Please have a wonderful Independence Day.
