The Hopkins boys’ basketball season came to an end Monday night at the district tournament opener at Hamilton.
The Vikings dropped a 59-55 decision to Hastings to end their season with a 5-17 overall record. If it was any consolation, the Vikings improved on their loss to the Saxons earlier in the season when they were on the short end of a 50-38 score.
Hastings improved its season record to 5-17 overall record and will play Wednesday night against either host Hamilton or No. 1 seed Holland Christian.
