The Hopkins boys’ bowling team now is 7-0 in dual matches this season and the girls are 6-2 after they swept Calvin Christian Monday, 17-13 and 23-7, respectively.

Calvin took the first Baker game against the Viking boys, 162-141. Then Hopkins came storming back with a 204 Baker game to Calvin’s 147, putting the Vikings up 6-4 heading into individual games.
In the first match, the Squires won three of five match points and won total pins by eight. Brenden Gossman took a point with a 224 score, and Drew Osborn took the other point with a 154.

In the second match Hopkins came out smoking and shot a 1014 series to earn three of the five points. Mikee Schumacher came out and bowled a 173, while Osborn took his second point of the day with a 225, and Gossman came in with the high game of the match with a 265.

Hopkins took total pins of the match and total pins for the game.

The Hopkins girls rolled a 164 and 141 to take all 10 points in the Bakers. The Lady Vikings in the first match took three points, with Courtney Tortorelli rolling the high game for Hopkins with 201 but came up short to Courtney Busscher’s 203 for Calvin. Cheyenne Miller, Hannah Wubben and Hazel Smith each took a point for Hopkins.

In the second match, Hopkins took four of five match points. Mackenzie Morris took the first point with a 171, then Miller took the second with a 170, Wubben bowled a 113, and Smith took the final point with the high game for the girls with a 222.
