The HopkinHopkins Vikings Logos boys’ track team opened its outdoor season Monday afternoon by finishing second among three teams at a tri-meet in Comstock.

The host Colts edged Hopkins, scoring 65.5 pounts while the Vikings counted 62.5 and Mendon was third at 46.

Highlights of the day for Hopkins were Spencer Timm winning the 100-meter dash, Jared Coad winning the 400m dash and Quincy Collings winning both the high jump and long jump.

Also taking first for the Vikings were the 4×200 relay team of Spencer Timm, Grant Stevens, Quincy Collings, and Anthony Steffens and the 4×100 relay team of Wyatt Stegeman, Hayden Graczyk, Quincy Collings and Spencer Timm.
