The Hopkins varsity soccer team halted a three-game losing streak Monday night when it stepped out of O-K Silver Conference play to blank Buchanan 5-0.

The Vikings scored all five of their goals in the first half. Finding the back of the net were Keegan Dykstra twice, Kody Bliek, Cole Bergman and Adria Serrano.

The victory lifted Hopkins’ overall season record to 7-9 after losses consecutively to Northpointe Christian, Hamilton and Calvin Christian.

The district tournament awaits the Vikings next.
