Both the Hopkins girls’ and boys’ bowling teams competed Saturday at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo in the Portage Individual Tournament. The girls field had 53 bowlers from different divisions. The cut going into elimination was 16. Kennedy Gill qualified fourth going into elimination. The boys’ field had 83 bowlers, with the cut going into elimination also 16. Brenden Gossman (pictured) qualified second going into elimination. Connor Brookhouse missed the cut by only 15 pins, qualifying 20th. Gossman ended up taking third place overall for the boys and Kennedy Gill ended up taking 13th for the girls.
