Visitation Tuesday for traffic accident victim Howard Simmons, 80

Howard L. Simmons, 80, of Wayland, died as a result of a traffic accident Thursday, Aug. 13.

Howard served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired from the General Motors Diesel Plant after more than 40 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; his children, Vicki (Larry) Marzean, Ted Vronko, Howard G. Simmons; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Ken) Blakeslee; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street S.E., Grand Rapids.
