Earl Gates, age 67, died Friday, Aug. 28.
He survived by his wife, Karen Gates; children Amanda (Shawn) Snyder and Bud (Wilma) Gates; grandchildren Zach and Hayli Snyder; siblings Gertie Merrill, Carrie (Donn) Wiley, Beverly (Rich Gregory) Jipping, John Gates; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Marian Gates; siblings Gerritt Gates, Bertha Dewitt, Bennie Gates; grandchildren Karen, Jacub, Olivia.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 1, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 – 18th Street, Dorr. Earl will be laid to rest at Burnips Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Earl, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
