Roast Beef — It’s an easy to make warm and hearty dinner that the entire family will enjoy
To make a tender roast take a three-pound beef put it in the freezer. A boneless chuck roast is what Grandma used. Look for one that has fat marbling all through it because this does add to the flavor.
You’ll also need:
2 pounds firm potatoes peeled and halved
2 pounds of carrots peeled and diced
3 cloves of garlic (if desired)
2 Tablespoons of instant beef bouillon granules
Place the frozen beef in a roaster with about two inches of water. Cover the meat with the beef bouillon placing the garlic, potatoes, and carrots around it and loosely covering with tin foil. Bake in a 350-degree oven for three hours.
You can make gravy out of the beef stock that’s left after you serve up your dinner, or freeze to use for later in soup.
