A Wayland area man has been reported safe and alive after he was reported missing Thursday morning by deputies from the Allegan County Sheriff’s office.
Deputies said Shawn Wayne Rittenberg, 57, was last seen at about 9 a.m. walking away from his home and did not take his vehicle or phone with him.
His family told deputies that this was out of character for him and that he has been recently hallucinating and delusional.
