Wayland City Council adopts budget of nearly $2.4 million

The Wayland City Council Monday night adopted a 2016-17 fiscal year budget of just under $2.4 million.

City Manager Tim McLean reported revenues are estimated at $2,356,214, expenditures have been pegged at $2,323,320 and the fund balance is expected to be $1,215,029.

The council held a public hearing on the budget and a truth in taxation hearing before adoption. The millage levy, as a result, will be 16.3673 mills.
