Wayland Education Foundation honors Diane Smith for service

The Wayland Union Education Foundation Tuesday evening honored Diane Smith for her many years of service. Foundation President Dr. Bruce Sexton said Smith, a founding member of the foundation who is retiring, has done a great deal over many years for education, at one time serving on the Board of Education. She continues to work on behalf of the community at the Christian Neighbors Food Pantry. “She has been instrumental in growing this foundation and letting it become a positive force for the Wayland system over the last 25 years, Sexton said. “I believe the community should be proud and thankful for her achievements.” (Photo courtesy of Dr. Bruce Sexton)
