Michael Merren, formerly of Wayland, will continue his medical education at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for residency in anesthesiology, beginning in July 2020. A graduate of Wayland High School and further education at Michigan State University, Western Michigan University and Grand Valley State University, he is married to Heather Hilton Merren, also a Wayland High School graduate and they have three children. Merren has been a physician’s assistant and anesthesiologist at Emory and Spectrum Health Care.
