Amos Knoth, a Wayland High School graduate, died early Sunday morning at Metro Health Hospital. He was 43.
A Go Fund Me page set up for him reported, “Last Sunday Amos was out on the boat fishing. He had a seizure and fell info the water. He was pulled out and made it to the beach when he had a heart attack. There were amazing people around who started CPR and got his heart beating again. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and has been in critical condition since then.
“Our family is dealing with the prognosis from the neurologist that Amos will not recover. We are asking for your assistance with his medical bills and funeral arrangements.”
Knoth was a former resident of Hopkins and Shelbyville, but had lived in Grand Rapids since 1994.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), Grandville. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. that day at the same site, with the Rev. Mike Hewitt officiating.
Rest in peace brother. Sorry Mike and David and family for your loss
