Wayland High School Robotics takes 2nd place

The Wayland Wildcats First Robotics #6090 team placed second Saturday and won the Autonomous Award at the regional competition at East Kentwood High School.

The local group now has qualified for the state competition Thursday in Saginaw.

A team spokesperson said, “It was a tough battle for first and we gave it our all. We earned our medals and gave the First Alliance a run for their money.

“Thank you to team 4967, That ONE Team, and 6114, Hamilton CyberHawks, for an awesome competition!”
