Wayland High School to add 2 new courses to curriculum next year

Wayland High School will have two classes added to its curriculum next year.

Director of Instruction Theresa Fulk asked for and received permission Monday night from the Board of Education to add a class on career and college readiness and a “school to work” program in cooperation with local businesses.

Superintendent Norm Taylor said school to work program “increases business partnerships between the school and community and continues to build on school and career partnerships.”
The college and career readiness class will be for juniors for just one trimester and will feature preparation for tests such as the SAT and demonstrate interviewing, letter writing and resume preparation skills.

The classes will be added during the following academic year.Extended Wildcat
