He is survived by his domestic partner of 13 years, Connie Berg; his children Brooke, Elizabeth, Christopher (Lindsey), Megan; his grandson, Dane; his father, Daniel “Buck” Green; his mother, June Rose; his siblings Tina and Tabitha; and many extended family and friends.
Buck loved to be outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. A motorcycle enthusiast, he was a graduate of Thornapple Kellogg High School, but lived in Wayland.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police said Green was traveling on Alden Nash Avenue near 64th Street in Bowne Township just after noon Saturday when a 47-year-old man driving a Ford Explorer turned in front him while making a left into a business. Green was unable to stop and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Authorities said he died at the scene of the crash.
Troopers said neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been factors in the crash.
