Supt. Dr. Christina Hinds has announced that Wayland Union Schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3, due to inclement weather conditions. Martin also has called off school. The snowstorm that arrived early Wednesday morning and continued throughout the day dumped between eight and 11 inches of the white stuff relentlessly and snowplows were busy, but unable to clear back roadways in time for the morning bus routes. No word had been received as yet about Hopkins Public schools.
