The Wayland Middle School Robotics team competed against 40 teams at East Kentwood High School Saturday and won the design award for the outstanding creativity put into the CAD 3D printed parts and the complexity of the gripper. They also placed third for the “Motivate” award. This week the team members, coached by middle school teacher Michelle DeYoung-Foster. are preparing for their next tournament.
