Wayland schools bus fleet inspection perfect 8th straight year

The Wayland Union Schools bus bus inspection webfleet, which numbers 23 Wayland and 15 AAESA vehicles, received a perfect safety inspection by the Michigan State Police.

This is the eighth year in a row for this accomplishment, which is due to the hard work and mechanical ability of Jody Boyles, head mechanic and Steve Kennedy, AAESA mechanic. The buses travel about 18,000 miles each school year.

“Many thanks go to the professional and dedicated bus mechanics and drivers for their continued expertise in transporting students to and from school safely,” said Transportation DepartmentDirector Brenda Kraima, former bus driver for Wayland.
