Nine new teachers have been hired for the approaching Wayland Union school district academic year, which will begin the day after Labor Day, Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Most of the newcomers will be working in the high school, Steeby Elementary or at Pine Street Elementary.
The new instructors are:
• Brittney VanLuyn, third grade, Steeby Elementary.
• Jake Passorelli, third grade, Steeby Elementary.
• Emily Dalgleish, second grade, Steeby Elementary.
• Sara Burrows, sixth grade English/social studies, Pine Street Elementary.
• Stacey Taplin, sixth grade math/science, Pine Street Elementary.
• Elise Ezinga, fifth grade English/social studies, Pine Street Elementary.
• Brittany Storey, science, Wayland High School.
• Amber Knauf, English/social studies, high school.
• Kerry Oostdyk, math,Career Connections Academy and high school.
