The Wayland City Council Monday night unanimously gave final approval to rezoning for Wayland Self-Storage at 1050 133rd Ave. in the industrial park.
The move surprised absolutely no one, as the council agreed with the recommendation Sept. 8 of the Planning Commission to rezone the parcel from both I-2 (industrial) and B-2 (business) to simply B-2.
The rezoning will accommodate expansion, specifically an addition to the business.
Glenn Carlson, owner of the property, appeared before the Planning Commission earlier this month to make the request.
