Wayland Self-Storage wins final approval for rezoning on 133rd

The Wayland City Council Monday night unanimously gave final approval to rezoning for Wayland Self-Storage at 1050 133rd Ave. in the industrial park.

The move surprised absolutely no one, as the council agreed with the recommendation Sept. 8 of the Planning Commission to rezone the parcel from both I-2 (industrial) and B-2 (business) to simply B-2.

The rezoning will accommodate expansion, specifically an addition to the business.

Glenn Carlson, owner of the property, appeared before the Planning Commission earlier this month to make the reSelf Storage mapquest.
