The grant will provide summer school instruction for students at risk of not reading at grade level by the end of third grade from Baker and Dorr elementary schools. The goal is to provide additional instruction time and support for the students and additional training for teachers.

It will be held in conjunction with the annual summer school program held at Steeby Elementary.

“We are excited to be able to offer supplemental programming to students who need extra support in order to be reading at grade level,” said Teresa Fulk, Director of Instruction.

Transportation and lunch will be provided and students who qualify will be invited to attend.
