The Wayland Union School District has been awarded $5,606.28 for the Acceptable Assessment Tools for Early Literacy Educators grant from the Michigan Department of Education.
The funds will be used to offset expenses associated with NWEA testing in grades K-3 that are used to increase reading proficiency.
Students take the NWEA on their iPads or computers and is done three times a year to monitor student’s growth and performance in literacy. Timely, easy-to-use reports help teachers teach, students learn, and administrators lead.
