Martin Schools Supt. Brooke Ballee-Stone has announced the appointment of Tyler Whitcomb as principal of Martin Middle School and High School.

Interim assistant athletic director/teacher/public elations Nate Bal, has been elevated to interim athletic director/teacher/public relations.
Tom Shuck is the school district’s new mid-day custodian
New postings timeline:
- Posting for a food services director: Ongoing until filled
- Posting for a behavior specialist K-12: Ongoing until filled
- Posting for a half-time athletic director/certified secondary or K-12 teacher: To be posted after spring break.
Ballee-Stone said, “After very careful consideration, the opening we will have for half-time athletic director (with Mr. Whitcomb now being MS/HS Principal full time) will continue as an interim position. There are many factors at play as follows:
- Looking at actual time spent at events in set-up, coordination, etc. and whether or not a .5 is sufficient.
- Assessing seasonal needs: winter and spring seasons have been scheduled (track, golf co-op, softball, baseball) and this gives the administration team time to sort through the exact qualifications we need as a district to make sure this position is filled appropriately.
- Figuring out what the other 1/2 of the position will look like as to what our current needs are throughout the district.”
